Each person has their own reasons they love pottery. It is like any other art form in that it allows a person to express themselves through a medium.
Personally, I enjoy the simple steps that all pieces begin with. Wedging, coning, opening, pulling. And each person making a wheel pottery piece starts at the same place and yet every detail turns out differently. There is peace found in the ritual, creativity in the process, and joy in the practical use of the pieces.
